Who we are

We specialise in supporting individuals with autism and or complex care needs in a small care home in Barton Upon Humber. Our sister service in Hull has been open for a few years and the need for a similar service in North Lincolnshire was raised. We are offering tailored one-to-one care during the day with either one to one or shared care during the night. Our service promotes independence and encourages the learning of new skills to enhance the residents life, this can be in inhouse, the local community or further a field depending on the individuals choice and ability.

Who we are looking for

We are a small but growing service and are looking to employ people who are caring, compassionate and  motivated to provide quality holistic support to our residents. As our residents have complex needs, staff need to be aware of safe practices and be confident of their ability to manage their own reactions and interactions.

Staff will support the resident with their every day activities including personal care, meal planning/preparation, shopping, attending appointments and following the health care plan to ensure that all needs are met. There is an element of recording required during the shift, the ability to record effectively is essential.

As each person is different we have individual care plans in place that require continuous monitoring to ensure they are inclusive and relevant.

Training

As we specialise in supporting adults with complex needs we have comprehensive training and induction in place to ensure you have the necessary skills and awareness to give the resident’s the best support possible. Ongoing training and support is given through one to one and group sessions.

The environment

The care home has been refurbished to create 8 self contained flats within a larger building. Each resident has their own en-suite, lounge/diner and kitchen.

There is a large communal lounge that all residents can access to meet others or to do activities outside of their flats.

There are gardens that wrap around the building offering a space to relax or engage with garden activities.
