We are looking to recruit into posts based within a Dementia Extra Care Housing facility consisting of 25 individual flats with 24/7 365 days support. As part of the team you will strive to deliver support that puts people living with dementia, and their carer, at the centre of our services. Our aim is to ensure that a person can remain at home and feel confident and is safe to live as independently as possible.
The role also involves direct work such as supporting with moving and handling, attending to personal care needs and administering medication as well as maximising opportunities for social inclusion and emotional wellbeing, and supporting carer needs, within the extra care housing facility, and encouraging individuals to live as normal life as possible using innovative ideas of support which will include assistive technology. A previous qualification in care is desirable, though not essential, as full induction/training will be provided.
