The HICA Group have a Support Worker opportunity at our learning disability home in Scunthorpe.
Supporting with a range of care needs and enabling our service users to lead fulfilling lives including:
Personal care (washing, dressing, oral hygiene)
Assist with meals and drinks to support our resident’s overall nutrition
Contribute and support during activities
Maintain and develop professional relations with families
Completing all relevant paperwork in a timely manner
Reporting any safeguarding concerns
Promote independence of our residents at all times to improve their quality of life
Assist with mobility and transferring safely e.g. from bed to chair
Observe and record clients’ physical and emotional well-being reporting any changes
You should be naturally caring, passionate and committed to providing the best possible care
Be able to work as part of a team
Have patience, communication and listening skills
Have a positive attitude
We provide full training so don’t worry If you are new to the care sector, if you have the right qualities to care we would love to hear from you.
Pay & Hours:
Rate of Pay – £9.70 per hour, increasing to £10.00 per hour upon completion of 6 months service
Hours of Work – 36 hours per week, working x4 9 hour shifts 10pm to 7am or x3 12 hour shifts
Shift Pattern – Working to a rota covering 7 days per week (every other weekend)

The HICA Group is a ‘Not for Profit’ organisation providing a range of care services to elderly clients and people with learning difficulties, across a range of services, including our care homes, residential settings and in the community.
Sunningdale Court compromises of 2 small bungalows for long term residential support and also a dedicated bungalow for supporting people on shorter term or short break stays. Through targeted support, we champion rehabilitation, education and skills development. This learning, or re-learning, can take place in many forms such as travel training, independent living skills such as cooking and money skills, image awareness and personal health and wellbeing.
The successful candidate will be required to undertake an Enhanced DBS check and provide evidence that they are fully vaccinated against Covid-19.
