Dear Colleagues

Please see your weekly overview update on behalf of the Director of Adult and Community Wellbeing (DASS) and Director of Public Health (DPH)

Training and Development

Workforce Development at North Lincolnshire Council want to hear from you about Training and Development for Registered Managers – Please click on the link below to answer a few questions about your knowledge, experience and thoughts on opportunities, training and development for Registered Managers. This should only take 5-10 minutes to complete, and will help to shape our offer locally for the future

Safeguarding Adults Board – new Strategic Plan – have your say!

The North Lincolnshire SAB are in the process of developing a new Strategic Plan, the plan lays out shared goals and priorities for the coming three years, and details how partners will work together to help and protect adults with care and support needs, who are at risk of abuse and neglect.
The views and experiences of those with a lived experience and the workforce are really important to us, in helping to shape our future priorities for adult safeguarding within North Lincolnshire.
I would be grateful if you could please take a few moments to complete the short Teams questionnaire (before Friday 17 June 2022), identifying areas which you feel are key areas of focus for safeguarding adults over the next three years. The questionnaire should take no longer than 10 minutes to complete.
Please disseminate the link below within your teams and share as you feel appropriate.

North Lincolnshire will be completing their Fair Cost of Care Exercise via Care Cubed (iESE).

Please register with the system following the instructions below, you will then receive regular updates, step-by-step tutorials, user guides and have access to the technical support desk.

Step 1 – Register for the tool

Step 2 – Creating a Primary User

  • Every provider needs to identify a Primary User in order to access and use the Tool
  • A provider’s Primary User will complete Step 3. Providers choose who their Primary User is and in large organisations this is likely to be in Head Office

Step 3 – Creating an account

Step 4 – Accessing and using the Tool

  • As the Tool is now live, users will only be able to access the Tool if their organisation has completed steps 1-3
  • Anyone that has completed step 1 and registered for the Tool, will receive regular reminders of how to complete steps 2 and 3

The deadline for completed returns via iESE/CareCubed is 24th June 2022

If you have any queries relating to the Fair Cost of Care process then please email Faircostofcare@northlincs.gov.uk

NHS Capacity Tracker – For Info/Action:

Email reminders have recently been sent out to all Care Home providers & System Champions advising of improvements to the NHS Capacity Tracker. This will mean that providers will be able to share information about bed availability as well as vacancies.

Please up-date the NHS capacity tracker daily and double check the figures you have recorded, by following the instructions on the attachment, as this will reduce the risk of error messages/incorrect reporting re: vacancies.  Please see attachment at the top of this email.
