Workforce Development Fund Presentation
The Workforce Development Fund (WDF) supports the provision of high quality care and the continuing professional development (CPD) of staff across the adult social care sector by providing a contribution towards the costs of vocational learning. Please refer to the attached presentation for further information.
Please see below a link to an app called ‘SayHi Translate’. The App is free with no advertising. It allows you to instantly communicate – either via verbal or written communications, you can also slow-down, or speed-up the voice.
The feedback from frontline professionals and also people who have a lived experience is very positive, with comments that it’s the best translation tool they’ve come across, it’s accurate and is much easier than others such as Google Translate.

Remittances for Provider Payments
A number of providers have expressed recently that they are only receiving remittances for payment via the post, we have been advised that the system does allow for these to be emailed, therefore if you wish to receive your 4 weekly payment remittances via email, please complete the attached survey form to notify us of the correct email addresses for these to be directed to.
DHSC update: Formal Notice of data required from 31 July, and link to DHSC guidance
DHSC has published the Formal Notice setting out what information is required by the Secretary of State for Health and Social Care from CQC-regulated adult social care providers, under section 277A of the Health and Social Care Act 2012, as inserted by section 99 of the Health and Care Act 2022.

Per the Formal Notice, the first set of monthly data is due by the end of 14 August 2022
