Regional Care Awards – nominate your staff

The Great British Care Awards are a series of regional events throughout the UK and are a celebration of excellence across the care sector. The purpose of the awards are to pay tribute to those individuals who have demonstrated outstanding excellence within their field of work.

There are twenty-one awards categories available for nomination, which represent all areas of the social care sector, whether it be older people or specialist services, residential or home care. From frontline staff such as care workers and care managers to people who have made an impact in other ways such as training and innovation.

Monthly Communication – FREE Training Opportunities

Safeguarding Adults Board Communication

Enhanced safeguarding threshold document training – Spaces available

North Lincolnshire Safeguarding Adults Board are offering FREE 30 – minutes online training sessions, to raise awareness about the enhanced ‘safeguarding threshold’ document.

The training is for any practitioners who works with adults with care and support needs, in any setting.

At the end of the training, participants will have an increased understanding of what is reportable and what is not reportable to the Safeguarding Adults Team. This will ensure a consistent approach across our partnerships and local organisations.

The dates available are:

  • Monday 19th June 2023, 10:00am – 10:30am, via MS Teams
  • Wednesday 28th June 2023, 2:00pm – 2:30pm, via MS Teams

North Lincolnshire MARAC / DASH training – Book your space now

The Blue Door are offering FREE Multi – Agency Risk Assessment Conference (MARAC) / DASH training, for North Linolcnshire practitioners who work with anyone who is experiencing experiencing / at risk of domestic abuse.

The aims and objectives for the course are:

  • To develop an understanding of the MARAC process, the role of the IDVA, including an overview of the DASH risk assessment.
  • To have a clear understanding of the MARAC criteria.
  • To know when and how to complete a MARAC referral.
  • To identify the responsibility of agencies when dealing with domestic abuse cases.

Economic abuse and the impact for victims / survivors and their children – FREE online event

This FREE online training is aimed at all practitioners, and it will take place via MS Teams.

There are three dates still available:

  • Wednesday 5th July 2023 – 09:30am – 12:45pm
  • Wednesday 20th September 2023 – 09:30am – 12:45pm
  • Friday 24th November 2023 – 09:30am – 12:45pm

During the event, you will hear from Rachel Williams who has a lived experience of domestic abuse, and Jayne Mercer who will talk about destitute domestic violence concession (DDV). You will also learn about rights and routes for migrant workers, and watch a performance by the Certain Curtain Theatre Company, titled ‘Life sentence.’
