Virtual Event Thursday 24/11/2022 10.00 – 11:30

Apprenticeship levy transfer service to support the health and social care workforce

The West Yorkshire Combined Authority and the Department for Health & Social Care invite you to this virtual event for health and social care networks and organisations.

The event is an opportunity for you to hear more about our apprenticeship levy transfer service to support local businesses in health and social care, voluntary or community-focused sectors. Following a recent pledge from the DHSC, there is funding available to cover apprenticeship costs for the above-mentioned sectors.

Apprenticeship levy funding can cover 100% of apprentice training costs for new or upskilling existing staff, and we are looking to connect with organisations across West Yorkshire to ensure these funds are spent in a meaningful & impactful way.

The event will feature an overview of apprenticeships and levy funding as well as a roundtable discussion. It aims to be a participatory experience where we can hear about how your organisation could potentially benefit from apprenticeship funding and answer any questions you may have.

There will be discussions around:

  1. How familiar are you with apprenticeships and the apprenticeship levy?
  2. How could your organisation benefit from apprenticeship levy funding?
  3. Are you aware of any skills needs or gaps within your organisation or sector?

We would welcome you to circulate this invite amongst any other Voluntary/Care sector organisations in your network that you think may be interested in attending.
