NHS Capacity Tracker – Mandatory Window closes tomorrow 11.59 pm (14/09/2023)
 
Please can we remind providers to complete the mandatory sections on the NHS Tracker each month.  The window for completion of the mandatory questions is between 8th   of the month and 14th of the month (or next working day).  For September 2023 the Mandatory Window closes tomorrow (Thursday, 14/09/2023) at 11:59 pm.
Please see information below, this includes information around failure to comply.
Guidance for adult social care providers on how to comply with the information provisions of the Health and Care Act 2022, and how they will be enforced.

Falls Prevention Week 18/09/2023 to 24/09/2023

Falls Awareness week 2023 begins the week commencing the 18th of September with the overarching theme being ‘Awareness into Action’.

A regional conference is being developed by NHS England and partners to provide an opportunity to highlight work and innovations around falls and frailty.

The conference will be delivered online on the 19th September 2023.

Dear Providers,

We are aware that this Autumn’s COVID Booster and Flu vaccination programme has commenced. Further to the comms issued last week, these fields will be available in Capacity Tracker as part of the next system release on the 20th September. This will be the earliest you can report any of this year’s Autumn COVID Boosters.

Please DO NOT utilise the existing COVID Spring Booster field to record the Autumn Data as this field will be removed and data archived as part of the system release.

DoLS Signatories Training – 28/11/2023
 
There are 7 places available on the upcoming DoLS Signatories Training on 28/11/23. The training will be delivered via Zoom, 9am-4:30pm by Edge Training & Consultancy. 
It will be £42pp for attendance.
Some of the Learning Outcomes are below:
  • Explore how recent case law affects the role of the signatory and consider its application in practice
  • Consider what evidence and information DoLS assessors should present for signatories in the completed forms
  • Understand the responsibilities of the Supervisory Body in relation to DoLS
  • Explain the statutory basis and functions of a signatory

Safeguarding Adults Board Communication

Enhanced Safeguarding Threshold Document Training

The North Lincolnshire Safeguarding Adults Board are offering three 30 – minute online training sessions to raise awareness about the enhanced safeguarding threshold document.

The training is for any practitioner who works with adults with care and support needs, in any setting.

At the end of the training, participants will have an increased understanding of what is reportable and what is not reportable to the Safeguarding Adults Team. This will ensure a consistent approach across our partnerships and local organisations.

Training resources will be shared with all participants for wider dissemination among their teams / organisations.

The dates available are:

Tuesday 3rd October 2023, 1pm – 1:30pm, via MS Teams.
Thursday 5th October 2023, 9:30am – 10am, via MS Teams.
Monday 9th October 2023, 4pm – 4:30pm, via MS Teams.

Fraud and Cybercrime Awareness Training

The North Lincolnshire Safeguarding Adults Board are partnering up with the Voluntary Action North Lincolnshire (VANL) and the Fraud Watch project to deliver a number of face – to – face and online fraud and cybercrime awareness training sessions.

The aim of the training is for attendees to develop an understanding of the consequences of fraud and cybercrime. The objectives of the training are to identify the types of fraud and cybercrime, and to identify the signs of fraud and cybercrime victims.

The training sessions will be delivered face – to – face and via MS Teams. Face – to – face sessions will last 1 hour and outline the subject areas in more detail. Online sessions will last 30 minutes and provide a brief overview of the subject areas.

Training resources will be shared with all participants for wider dissemination among their teams / organisations.

Training dates and times:

Face – to – face sessions will take place on Friday 3rdNovember 2023, at Church Square House, Scunthorpe, DN15 6NL.

  • Session 1: 9:30am – 10:30am.

  • Session 2: 11am – 12pm.

  • Session 3: 1pm – 2pm.

  • Session 4: 2:30pm – 3:30pm.

Online sessions (MS Teams) will be held on Tuesday 7thNovember 2023.

Forensic Lunch and Learn – North Lincolnshire and East Riding Health and Care Partnership

This series of educational meetings are being held quarterly to facilitate forensic learning in safeguarding adults at risk of harm. All sessions will be delivered virtually via MS Teams. 
 
Any professional working within adult safeguarding for any agency is welcome to join, as well as members of the Faculty of Forensic and Legal Medicine.
